test. He moves his arms which is a good sign. I'm still waiting for my
turn to be able to pinch him. Like he would always say to me "I'm

Its been so long since I've seen any of you, but I just heard and wanted to send my wishes for a full and speedy recovery. I remember those 8-4 days at Killington...charging the trees, launching the poma spring, 3:59 club. How long ago was that? Cody was the toughest little kid I ever knew. good morning everyone, as i was riding my bike up snowshed crossover yesterday, in a typical rainy vermont day ,i was thinking of all the days, over all the years, that i was out riding and would come around a corner , in the middle of nowhere,and i would find you running around in the woods with no shoes, with the dogs and would think to my self what is barb doing to you guys this must be some type of abuse but now i see the strength it has made for the family. cody, you are in the best of hands. thanks jess and chels for all the updates and i cant wait for all of you to be back here in vt so we all can have a beer and spend some time in the vt woods

Good morning Cody! Just waking up here in VT. Suprisingly it is not raining! Gotta work later, but I'm going to enjoy the day with my 3 little girls. They are crazy like their old man! Should make for some entertaining days. It already has! Not sure what will we do today. Thinking about a good hike in the woods for a little while with them. They love looking for deer and turkey tracks and Rory who is 4 likes looking for "deer poop"! Sounds like a good day to me!
Glad to see and read that you are fighting it out! I've been reading the comments on this site multiple times per day. Amazing how closely knit we all are in ski racing, and how much we care for our own! So, LET'S GO CODY! DRAG IT BUDDY! WE LOVE YA! Find me in Bridgewater at the new pizza joint and I'll buy ya some dinner! What kinda pizza do you like?

Dear Cody and family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and have been since the minute Megan called and said something had happened to you. We, including Grammy, check the blog several times a day and are continually sending warm wishes and healing thoughts to you and your family. Do you remember the nick name you gave me? I still laugh at that!Well...even though I am not your mom's gll anymore doesn't mean I don't care about all of you. I do and am sending you all and Nanu too, every bit of love and positive energy I can. Cody your family is special. The closeness and bond you have with them is heartwarming. You guys are really giving us all a medical education with all of your information. Thank you. I am becoming addicted to getting up and reading the latest progress in the blog and also reading what everyone else writes - it keeps all of us in the ski world connected. BUT - WE ALL LOOK FORWARD TO THE DAY WHEN CODY CAN BLOG WITH US!
We have had a really rainy cool summer here in VT. I personally am cooped up with shoulder surgery, so have lots of down time to think and pray for you, Cody!!! I enjoy reading about you and your bare feet in the woods. I can relate to that since I was always in the woods as a kid and always building huts and tree houses. I have a favorite tree at Burke that has been around for many many years that I always touch and say "Hi Buddy" every time I go by. Maybe you know it? It is a huge gray birch on the cutover from the Dippers to lower Dougs Drop. There also are some really friendly trees on Caveman... Can't wait for you to get back!! Hope you had a good night, sleeping beauty.

You arrived in Prague with a stupidly heavy backpack, a pillow and a box of Marshallian anti-vegetable pizza. You read 'Bright Lights, Big City' one afternoon while it was raining. The next day you read 'Confederacy of Dunces'. You left with my 'Don't Look Back' dvd but forgot 3 crisp hundred euro notes, one twenty dollar bill and your phone charger on the windowsill. You're more beautiful than the moon.

You don't know me, but I have been following your progress since I heard about your accident. I am most impressed by the stories told about your strength, LOVE for pizza & Wall-E, your ability to defy the "rules" (skiing blocked off trails : ), your addiction to your I-Phone, and what a great brother and son you are! What a remarkable smile you have! Keep your strength, and know that there are MANY people (not even other skiers) who hold you in their thoughts and prayers!
Keep on fighting, Cody! You are soooooooooooo strong!

What a wonderful thing it is to have a current report on Cody's condition. I am a good friend of Gran Marshall's and am happy to be able to print out the blog daily for her to read and reread. She is a strong person and her love for her grands is surrounding Cody! Margaret

Heeeey buddaaaaay! Hang in there Cody! From how it sounds, things are going well. I tried to send you a get well card through the hospital but I have no idea if it showed up or not. The options were limited. I chose the mountain lion.
Jesse & Chelsea, you guys have been awesome. It's been wonderful being kept this up to date on Cody. It definitely gives peace of mind for those of us not currently in Utah.
Keep it going Cody. You'll be back in action in no time.

Sending you úsměvy a sluníčko (smiles and sunshine) and MASSIVE prayers and positive vibes from Praha! It was so much fun to hang at Garmisch and when you came to visit Splint here in Prague...it was such a blast and fun to hang with you guys in random watering holes until the wee hours of the morning.
Remember how bummed you were when I didn't stay to watch the slalom after the super g was cancelled...and I told you I'd come down to Austria to hang and watch you rip it up this year? So, get heal well and speedily so I can keep that promise! Schladming night slalom, here I come!

Hi Cody ... the positive things that are happening are very encouraging... they say what you think becomes your reality ... so, I've been thinking, imagining, manifesting that you are awake and alert... that you have no brain damage ... that you are getting up out of that hospital bed and walking out of that hospital ... that you are back hangin' with your buddies ... oh, and just a minute, I see you racing down the mountain !!!! I hear everyone screaming "Co-dy - Co-dy - Co-dy" ... and all is well in your world once again... these are my prayers and my thoughts for you dear Cody ... may they all become your reality ... I invite everyone to pray/envision/imagine/manifest etc. these things for Cody like a world-wide mantra so that soon it will be Cody's reality...
