MEDICAL UPDATE TUESDAY 12:32 AM

Cody and I are just settling in for the night. We had a busy night with visitors and he really seemed to enjoy it. When I came in at 8:30 tonight his ICP was at 21, I would continue to bring people in and it seemed like every time I came back it kept getting lower. It is currently at 10. It seems that whatever Leanne and Laurenne were doing in here for so long was working. Their hippie magic I guess. He also seemed very happy to see Keely and hear about the rip stick he was promised. So Cody you can hold her to that.
His body temp is still a little high. He is at 38.8

I am about to starting reading to him all your wonderful posts. Keep the love and support coming!  Cody and I are looking forward to a goodnight.

    Hey Cody, Jesse & Chelsea,
I used to run the Poma lift at Killington when you guys were all so little. I'd launch Jesse on the broken one and he would FLY through the air. Chelsea would kick off a ski and ride the Poma up and then rip on down the hill past all the ski lessons going on. It was funny to watch the looks on people's faces when you guys would all race by them! Cody was always so mellow and had a smile on his face (usually about some closed run he just poached, or some sort of trouble he was in the process of causing!). You guys were great kids and always put a smile on our faces when you came around. Being stuck up at the Poma sucked! It was cool to watch you three taking crazy jumps and having fun. I always knew you all were destined for some kind greatness in the ski world!
Cody is in our thoughts and prayers from up here in Washington state. Get well soon Cody!

Hey Cody, i was thinking about Wengen 2007 this morning. You ripped through a rain storm to make the flip, then went full gas through some of the thickest, wettest snowflakes I'd ever seen to finish 19th. It was your first World Cup points and really cool to see how stoked you were. Check out the photo, http://ussa.smugmug.com/gallery/8926879_tkNRe#242428576_xhFAF. Nice smile my friend. I'm looking forward to seeing it again soon.

To Cody and the Marshall Family,
I have worked for Killington many years, and for as long as I can remember, the Marshall name has been synonymous with skiing. In early and late season when lifts were closed, if there was a patch of snow with tracks on it, we knew they belonged to a Marshall. When you live in a small town like Pittsfield, it is very exciting to see “one of our own” hit the big time. To see three of them do it…remarkable! (I imagine Tucker will follow in his sibling’s footsteps!) I have a “Google Alert” set up for Pittsfield so that I can keep track of their successes. It is this fierce determination that Barb & Don have instilled in their children that will get Cody (and his family) through this. We appreciate all of the updates and know that Cody is getting the best care possible, both from his doctors and his family and friends. You are in our prayers.

On behalf of all of us here at Northern Ski Works, we are praying for Cody and are confident that he'll be back on his feet soon. I've know Cody since he was a little guy swimming at the Sherburne pool with Mom, Jesse, Chelsea, and baby Tucker at swim team practice. What fun we had then with the whole Marshall family going to all the meets. He was quite the fish in the pool. All the girls loved him. Even when he was a little guy, all the girls wanted to hang out with him because he was so funny. Hang in the Cody, we all want to see your smiling face and hear of all of your accomplishments in the ski world!! I check the blog at least twice a day to see how he's doing. Great job on keeping us informed of his progress, we all need to know. Love to all of you, Mary

Cody's family, I read through the blog and it brought back recent memories of a hospitol bed in Bethlehem Pa. My son Mike is a professional BMX stunt rider and he suffered a serious brain injury similar the what Cody is now batteling just last October. You can check out the posts on his site(www.mikeaitken.com) and see much the same as what Chelsea and Jesse are posting. Today, although still not 100 per cent, Mike is doing great. He was in a coma for over three
weeks, and paralized on his right side when he woke up, But as an athlete, driven to success, he fought through the pain and weakness as I know that Cody will. Mike's favorite comment through the tough recovery therapies was "I turn my frustration into determination". We flew Mike home to Salt Lake in an ambulance jet just before he woke up and he came out of the coma in the Murray IHC trauma center, the doctors and nurses, therapists and aids, are the best in the nation! Trajic events like this draw close families and friends closer! Cody is in our prayers, as is his family. Gather around your young hero and talk, laugh, joke, be posative! The human mind coupled up with the Soul of this young man will overcome all odds.

Our connection to the Marshall family is the memory of them coming to our office for faxes and copies. Such a nice family. Even though we are not in the skiing world we are very proud to have such a talented family from a little town. Everywhere we go, ( PO, Store or whatever we hear people asking if they have heard how the Marshall boy is doing. Please know that all of you are in our thoughts and prayers. Will continue to follow your progress.
