MEDICAL UPDATE WEDNESDAY 11:21 PM
Cody is settling in for another restful night. He had an active day! He is starting to respond to noise and does the sweetest little snarl when bothered too much. Also he starts moving his arms around when we start talking to him. It reminds me of when I would wake him up and he would beg for another five minutes. Chelsea started physical therapy with him today. She worked on his range of motion for his legs. Nothing further to report on the blood clots, still just wait and see. We are getting close to being able to play him his favorite movie, WALL-E. One of the first nights Chelsea and i were with Cody, Chelsea fell asleep watching WALL-E on her computer. When she woke up later she asked "Did I fall asleep watching WALL-E? Cody gets mad when I do that, don't tell him".

Cody!
The show tonight was great, but seeing you respond to my voice was 100 times greater. Get well soon so we can go to endless Ritter, Oberst, and Dondero shows for years to come.
So much love
Adam

We were thrilled to hear Cody made forward progress yesterday!
Buck & I were reminiscing the other day about Cody. He mentioned a moment in the past where he & Chris Reynolds were standing outside the training center watching you, Cody, rip down highline. Chris looked over at Buck and his mouth was silent but his face was filled with delight as only Chris could do. His eyes enlarged, his mouth pursed a little and his head moved back and forth like a slow moving bobble doll. Both were so impressed and knew you your future would be great.
I was able to witness your honed skills on a regular basis and not just on the ski hill. What a pleasure to see you at all the different events (as well as Jesse, Chelsea and Tucker!). You had a shy way about you, yet you always looked me in the eyes, greeted me and had the most adorable smirk on your face. And it pleased me to have a Marshall on the podium whether it was a bike race, the May Day slalom or the pond skimming event.
We believe you are still destined for greatness so dig deep and continue to work hard.
We are sending prayers for your continued recovery and positive thoughts to you.
Don, Barb, Jesse, Chelsea and Tucker - sending strength to you all - take care of yourselves.

Good morning Marshall family, The sky is blue here in VT. Thanks for sending sunshine our way. Keep most of it for yourselves! I want you to know that I am still checking in on you every day, and several times a day. You are an amazing family!!
All my love,
Lisa Laird
Ps. I think Cody was the first child I ever sent to the principal's office AND he did not even do anything wrong! I was a NEW teacher, and he was the next child to talk. SORRY Cody. I don't think Mr. Netch was in his office anyway.

I love to hear about the small but significant responses Cody is making! Thank you for keeping us posted. I think one day he will surprise the pinchers with a strong left! Keep the patience and we will all keep the positive wishes pouring your way!

Cody and all
It is a (finally) sunny day here in VT!! It is so great to read about all of the exploits and rivalries among the siblings; it makes it easier to focus the good thoughts on Cody, the real dare-devil, for us that weren't as intimately acquainted! I still have a message written on the bedroom door of my eldest, Laura, that you may find useful when you wake up:
"Beware of extremely vicious, rabid, blood-thirsty , demon-possessed CATS who like to tear at the flesh of the trespassers named BRYNA who they will devour instantaneously!" and
"Trespassing will result in deep personal embarrassment, prolonged, excruciating torture and even criminal prosecution especially for people named BRYNA"
I am sure Laura was referring to the pack of cats, one of which may still reside at your house?
Get well soon, Cody, so you can kick out the pinchers.

I read the article about you in the Rutland Herald and just wanted to let you know that my thoughs and prayer are with you. What an inspiration your family is to one and all...keep telling Cody wonderful stories of past memories. That will give you the extra energy to recover.

Hey Cody and the Marshall Family,
I read about your accident in the Rutland Hearld, and though you may not remember Kathleen and I , was the Director at Killinton for Parks and Recreation, I remember you, Jesse, Chelsea, Tucker and your Mom. You were always smiling and such a character. I have often thought about your family since I left and want you to know that I am praying for your recovery. Stay Strong and Fighting. If there is anything I can do to help please let me know. We are near Rutland so please call on us to help in anyway. Good Luck
Liz and Kathleen

Cody and Chelsea, I have met both of you through my work in La Parva with the ski teams. I truly feel that the ski world is one family and when I hear that one of our tribe is hurt it's as if it were my own son. I know how strong you all are but I am sending you more strength in my thoughts and prayers. All I want is to see both of you down in Chile training with a vengeance once again. Cheers from the southern hemisphere, Michele
