MEDICAL UPDATE FRIDAY 9:52 AM
Cody is gearing up for another busy day. We started him on the Provigil this morning. We are waiting to see if we can remove the bolt that measures his ICP today. Also waiting for the final go ahead to start playing WALL-E. I am starting to breathe again as we have moved from the minute to minute fight up to the hour to hour fight and now it seems we are starting the day to day fight. It is a long road we all must take but Cody is a fighter and he is strong. Go Cody Go!

We've been checking Cody's progress on this blog every few hours. It's the last thing I do before going to bed at night and the first thing I do each morning , “ gotta check in on Cody “ So glad to read of each piece of progress .
Barb .... you have a beautiful family. They all exude your strength, sense of humor and passion for life .... Cody is a treasure and he’ll come out of this stronger than ever.
You’ve all enriched our lives .... thank you.
We look forward to seeing you all back here in Vermont ... real soon.

I check up on Cody every few hours, from home and work. Cody is fortunate to have such great siblings, parents, grandmother, and friends to support him. Barb,I might have to get Alison after Cody, then he will have to get better. I have been getting calls from the Guv, Jimmy C.,Bob, and many other friends from Burlington, Stowe, and work. Everyone is pulling for Cody. Hurry up and get well, so I can "ski" and hike with Barb every month this year.

This last entry was the most powerful as my family can empathize with your situation when the fight begins with the minute by minute then the hour to hour. Hearing Cody is now stablized to a day to day track gives me a thousand bundles of hope. I have never met Cody nor any of his family however the journey you are on with him touches to the core of my family's lives and I read all the blogs. When in my day to day routine I find myself thinking about Cody and all of you sending prayers and good vibrations into the universe for a speedy recovery. Know there are people out here in the world praying for him and his family. He is young and he is strong. The human body is a miraculous entity and the hospital and all the great nurses and doctors will do everything to guide him back to his home because that is where everyone wants him to be - back in his own home with his friends and family. Thanks for the continual blog entries - it helps all of us to hear how he's doing and put that extra mantra of prayer out to the man above.

I am so impressed at the network of people that have come together to support you in your recovery. It is a testament to the positive influences you and your family have on all the people in your lives. Keep fighting, Cody. You can get there. To the rest of the Marshall family, your strength and support for Cody and each other is inspirational, more so than the ever-growing support network. You all remain in our thoughts and prayers. Dear Cody,
I hope your feeling and getting better. You've got such an amazing group of friends and I know you will recover quick and strong. It has been such an awesome year getting to know you and the rest of the Alpine team. This 4th of july was one of the best days i've ever had, squirt guns in the parade waterballons, your cowboy hat (which I still have yet to return), and the whole day of fun. Thanks for the momories man and there are much more still to be made. Get better soon everyone's praying for you.

I check 2-3 times per day and think of Cody and you all all the time. Suki wrote this email to me today and it says everything I feel better than I could. Love you guys. Get well Cody.
" I made my second daily check up on Cody and read that he is opening his lovely eyes and responding more and more as every hour passes, it seems. what a wild and not so wonderful adventure it must be for him... a week of life. the blog has been pretty awesome, wouldn't you say? especially to hear all the marshalls speak so openly about their love and respect for each other. it is always nice to be reminded of how much love there is in the world. i have been praying and dreaming about cody every day... it seems like he's got hundreds of people doing the same thing, i think he can feel that."

Hey Cody,Jesse,Chelsea,Tucker,Barb and Don,
For some reason today I was reminded of a time when we were neighbors on Tozier Hill. It was later in the evening and Barb came cruising up our driveway in the old cream colored Jeep. Out piled the kids and Barb (all barefoot of course) and she was pointing to the night sky. Aurora Borealis was pulsating in full glowing technicolor. What an amazing sight.
This memory made me think of you, Cody,and all the positive light, energy and love your family and friends are sending you in your restful state. We all look forward to the moment you awaken and embrace the new day.
