MEDICAL UPDATE MONDAY 12:48 PM
This is the first day I have heard Cody snoring. He is actually getting some rest.
The physical therapist came in to work on him but we requested that she come back later since he is finally resting.
He is very restless the past couple of days due to many things obviously but partly because he is in some pain.
There are no new test being ordered today so today might actually be a great day all around.
We shall see for now we hope.
He needs you all more than ever now. Thank you for being here for us!!
Every comment is read to him and every comment is much appreciated!!

Yeah Cody, get some rest! I know from my own recovery that sleeping can be the toughest thing to do, so make the most of it. Later today I may be going down to SLC and if I do I'll come by to drop off some food for the rest of the family and also some stickers for your helmet.
Go Cody go!

Let him rest....I remember with my son Joe, there were so many Dr's monitoring him as well as different therapists of different types from occupational to physical and speech. There were so many times when you could just see in his eyes he just wanted peace and rest. Cody!!!! Hang in there and keep the patience its hard but it will all pay off. Let your body heal. I am so encouraged by your progress. It will never seem fast enough for any of you...I remember, but keep the faith and keep fighting. Godspeed!!!

Cody, your progress has been amazing, and it is so good to hear you are resting. I am sure some good sleep will help you heal even faster. It seems like the more you are progressing, the more obvious the road ahead becomes, and it doesn't seem easy. You can get through anything though with your strength, the strength of your parents and brothers and sister, and the strength of your friends and teammates who have pledged to be by your side every step of the way. Stay positive through the good and bad, you are a very loved individual!

Hi Cody!
It is a beautiful summer day in upstate New York - with the cicadas buzzing and the sun peeking in and out of the clouds..with just a hint of rain in the sky.
You and I have never met; I am Steve Utter's sister (and yes, I do admit that!) and I met your mom a couple of times this past winter when I was a ski instructor at Stowe.
I am sending my prayers and positive thoughts to you and to your family and friends, those who have surrounded you and are bringing the forces of life and spirit in order to bring wellness to you.

Sounds like you are making some good progress buddy! I talked to Chelsea the other day and it sounded like she was pretty on top of things over there. I know things seem really tough right now but you are making amazing progress so stay strong. You and continually in my prayers Codewa.
Much love,

Cody, you have the most amazing family! Their dedication to you and your progress is so impressive and touching. I have been hooked to your blog updates, and feel as though Vermont has been brought to your hospital bedside. As we continue to watch your progress and pray for your recovery, we hope that you feel our presence and fight on with the knowledge that we are all pulling for you. I have no doubt that your strength and passion for life will pull you through this unscathed. When you are able, I look forward to sharing a run with you at Killington. Maybe you can show me which are the best trails to poach!
All the best,

Cody:
I keep your update page open on my browser and watch for updates throughout the day.
So glad to know you are getting some rest. You must know by now that your family and friends, and many of us who only know you through others, are pulling for you, so rest knowing that your fight is our fight. You will come out of this stronger and better than before. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if your speed events improved (hey, if you can stare this in the face...)!!
Ordered a "Think Cody" T today. You can sign it when you're ready.
Hang in there, kid. It's going to be OK. Stop worrying about everyone and just heal.
Faith.

Hi Cody, we have never met before but I have been following your status since the first day after your accident. I grew up in Park City, but live over seas now. We have a few friends in common and that was how I heard about your accident. I wouldn't normally leave a comment like this for someone I had never met, but every time I read your updates I feel so touched by all of the love and support you have around you. I was very happy to hear this morning that you are no longer in a coma. Take your time to recover fully and keep up all the good work. I look forward to hearing more positive updates in the near future.

Cody,
It is great to read about your progress. I know it takes time but so much that you have accomplished in your skiing has taken time and you've shown the tenacity to make it happen.
I remember well the young Cody tagging along with big brother Jesse skiing at Sugarbush. You were one of a number of super talented young skiers.
When I think of you I remember best you sitting down at Burke and saying you wanted to go on with your skiing. You showed all of us the strong determination and long term dedication which separates those who achieve from the many who are talented. Your example has led others and the kids really listen to you when you speak because they respect what you have accomplished.
I'm sure you've amazed the hospital staff with your recovery based on how fit and strong you were. More importantly you know how to work without ever relenting.
Chelsea and Jesse, thanks for keeping all of us so well posted. Cody is very fortunate to have you, Tucker, and your parents supporting him as you always have.
Kirk

It was quiet around the swimming pool yesterday. I missed the boys coming through the back gate, looking for refreshment, food and a swim (Cody,I especially missed your wonderful smile, hug and conversation)Instead the boys were at your side (where they should be) or on their way to New Zealand. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I leave for Montana later this week, but will stop by the hospital for a visit when I get back. Meanwhile, TJ keeps me informed on your progress daily. Hug and a kiss from your momma Deb.

As a ski-fan I was shocked last january when I saw the horrible crash of Daniel Albrecht at Kitzbühel. Later I was very happy when I saw his first interview on tv, and a few weeks ago I read, that he was for the first time on his ski again.
Of corse the accidents and the injuries are not the same, but what I want to say is : they are both fighters , they are both very strong and so I 'm convinced that Cody can do the same.
And there's one more positive thing : Cody has a very strong family and many friends too as I can read here, and that can also help very much !!
Best wishes from Austria,
get well soon Cody !!!

Hi Cody, My Daughter, Dani, and I have been checking in on you every day. We were very excited to see the site for the shirts. We bought one for everyone in our family. My daughter said, "I can't wait to wear my on the first day of school." I think I will do the same thing. So, thanks for helping me pick out my "first day of school outfit". Love, Mrs. Laird SES Back when you knew me, I was Miss Ragona. If I remember correctly, I was in charge of your tent on the 5th grade camp farnsworth over night trip. Caleb Oaklyn was in that group. It was a great trip!!

Code...you are a freaking rockstar!! I've told all of my Prague peeps as well as my friends back home in Minni and around the world to push their positive vibes your way. I am very confident they are.
Chelsea and Jesse (and co.) - thanks gobs for pouring your heart and soul into this blog. Chelsea...not sure if you remember, but we met briefly in Garmisch this year at dinner the day the Men's Super G was cancelled. Girl, you are so so strong and I admire your courage, persistence and love for Cody. Over dinner that night, after I met you, I mentioned to Cody how cool it was that you had the chance to travel to some races together...he agreed. He followed it up by telling me - with a chuckle - that you guys get along well, but you are protective of him and don't want him to settle (he must have been refering to all of his past lady friends. ha ha!)...anyway, I told him that's your job as a sister - and I think it is so amazing to witness just how great of a job you are doing at this now...in what must be the most trying time in your family's life. Way to do your job...way to be the glue (to you as well, Jesse)! Your family is such a great example for so many...and you have so many supporters throughout the world rooting for you!
Chelsea...I'm planning on swinging by a race this winter in Europe, since I'm in Prague. I'd love to meet you again if/when I do! I also told Cody I'd head to the night slalom this year...so if Cody fights hard, I may have to choose between the Marshall world cup circuit duo!
Smiles from Praha,
Meg

My family and I are praying for Cody. I have known people with brain injuries and know that it can be a long road, but it is possible to recover. Being an athlete and a strong young man is a plus I am sure. Cody is in our thoughts and prayers. We have family in Vermont and love that beautiful State. We will do what we can to raise some money to help with the financial situation.
Our best wishes, Murray/Dilworth family
