IN RESPONSE - UPDATE DRAVEN 4:45 AM

Hello to all.
We appreciate all the inquiries from people regarding donations and are so grateful for everyone's support. We are currently working on a way to receive donations. We are in the process of setting this up and it takes some time for us to be able to do this. We will let you know as soon as this is a possible option. Words cannot express our gratitude to all of you. Thank you. We are working on an International shipping plan and purchase option as well and thank you for all the request. I am replying to emails received on the main site as fast as I can so thank you for your patience.

Awareness is key to getting this movement started so we wanted to say a great BIG THANK YOU to all of you purchasing T-Shirts, it is awesome and essential to the family and Codys Movement !!  Also to Mike and Alison Doyle for bringing awareness to Cody and his site! Mike wrote a great article you should check it out! Thank you to the Doyle family and About.com for the support.!http://

We appreciate and thank everyone who is helping raise awareness by linking www.thinkcody.com to their facebook, myspace, twitter, business websites, and personal websites and sending out personal email campaigns. Thank you!!

Cody did great today although he pulled his feeding tube out of his nose 3 times. He then had to go through the "OUCH" process as I began to refer to it to him, since he uses the word ouch! He has had a bit of a fever trying to fight this unknown infection but he will get a good night sleep tonight after such an active day. The feeding tube is a huge annoyance for him and he is quick, strong and sly using his Jedi Mind Powers to get past us to try and get to this tube. He also has his sad puppy dog eyes he puts on and follows that up with a "help me" or "take it out" which I will tell you right now... Sucks!  more for him of course because we wont and can't and then he has to listen to us explain "why we wont" forever until we have talked ourselves out of our own guilty mess. He's good, let me tell ya.

He had a few issues with IV's coming out but worked through the pokes ok.
He is active so when he goes to try and reach to yank a tube he usually undoes another... today an IV hence the "OUCH" this happened a couple times unfortunately.

While the feeding tube was out the fabulous Jeanette and I tried to get him to pass a swallow test which would mean the feeding tube could come out. Let's just say... the green jello experiment did not go so well, and it was a good thing we prepared first with face masks. He did chew though... Fortunately for us or him they were out of applesauce.

He enjoyed listening to music today for a bit and was even tapping his foot against the bed end. Our big challenge is to get rid of this pesky infection it is not going away as of yet and is becoming quite worry-some but there are 2 teams of doctors on it so something has got to break.

He is still not tracking or responding to commands yet but soon we hope.
Goodnight for now.

Draven

Thank you so much for these detailed updates! We live here in Florida so there's a few hours time difference and I find myself staying up way too late because I won't go to sleep until I've heard what kind of a day Cody has had!! My four daughters think I've lost it because all I can do is talk about Cody's progress and I know my husband would be a little concerned to see that I've purchased more than one t-shirt...in fact, I chose the skiing one with the helmet on because I didn't think he would appreciate me wearing a cute, young guy's face on my chest!! So, it's good to hear that we will be able to make donations without buying more t-shirts!! Anyway, keep fighting Cody, you and your family and friends are one inspirational team! I always remember you in my prayers throughout each day.

Hey Cody, I didn't know you went to BMA. I went to BMA for my senior year and graduated in 1975, after growing up racing at Killington, and made the USST in December of '75. To put it simply, I just love BMA.

It's great to read about your progress and feistyness, but please take it easy now and let your brain heal. I've been through a couple of relatively minor concussions, and for a period of time after I woke up I was wacko, but once I got through the manic behavior, I basically just slept for a couple of weeks, totally out of character, but what my brain needed in order to heal.

So Cody, channel your strength toward letting go and having faith, in relaxing and letting your body heal; Be strong and stop fighting your difficult treatments and feeding tubes and such, give your family a break, get some sleep and get better.

Go Cody !! Go Marshalls!! Cody has made great progress this week ! The hospital staff is incredible ! Everytime read an entry and think..uh..oh, the next entry has the staff on top of the issue. And Cody's bedside crew has been nonstop! Make sure you all take some time to get your own rest so you can keep up your high energy for Cody. Cody you are in great hands!!! And for the "green jello" I DO think that was a high level cognitive response...ICHK!! maybe something flavored with maple syrup next try
Sending daily thoughts and Good Karma from the Boston area !! Keep up the great work everyone ! Go Cody Go !!

glad to hear the good news. I just remembered a SL race at Stowe a few years ago...it was icy and wicked cold. Cody was in the gate and they were holding for like 5 minutes...of course Cody was wearing just goggles and his shaved head. Someone said "man cody you are getting iced!) And he turned around, all mirrored lenses looking wicked badass, and said "you can't ice ice-cold." I think some J2 girl holding a pile of clothes practically fainted at his awesome display of studliness. So...I'm pretty sure Cody is not going to let himself get iced this time either. keep it up buddy
