WAY TO GO CODY AND WAY TO GO BLOGGERS!! 5:21PM
OKAY GUYS! HE DID IT!! WE ALL DID IT!! THANK YOU! We read him your words of encouragement and here we are!!
I had to negotiate a bit with him as usual but it worked, He went for a walk with Chelsea faster than ever. Chelsea told him a joke as follows: "Cody what cheese isn't yours"? Cody replies "Nacho"
He asked me for Jesse, I let him know he will be here first thing in the morning.
After returning from our walk He is smiling more than ever. His sense of humor is in full mode today. Great spirits. ! All around.
He is able to turn the channels on the T.V. he is communicating with us in a way he hasn't before. He is more Cody and more responsive. He has been an absolute doll today and No F-Bombs so far. His night will be tougher but PROGRESS my friends Progress..
We celebrated Chelsea's birthday with him and Don handed Cody a present to give to Chelsea in which Cody replied "Chelsea I picked this out just for you" and handed it too her. AMAZING!!
Not to brag but his new favorite sentence is "Draven is brilliant". LOL
He followed that with "can I make that your nickname" and continued "what if I just said that to you sometime" "that would be funny"
He then continued "I'll have a half a rum and coke at 2:30am, BRILLIANT"
HOOORAY!! Thank you for all the comments and words of encouragement! Cody hears them all. When I asked Cody what he would like to say to everyone on his blog he said "BRILLIANT" and then dosed off.
You guys are SO amazing thank you so much for the continued support of Cody and Family. The payoff for him is around the corner I can feel it. We can't so it with out you!
Love to all for the Codeman.

Cody, Hailey has been keeping us updated and we have also been following your blog and are thrilled with your progress. But just in case you decide that you don't have to listen to all of your care givers, we put together a top ten list of reasons you need to get out of bed.
10. Feeding tube
9. Tubes in other places
8. You get to show off your butt
7. 4 servants helping you parade down the hall.
6. The Hooter's girls are serving vanilla ice cream down the hall.
5. What did your mother tell you.
4. Someone has your slalom skis and is running out the door.
3.Don't want to be called a pussy do ya.
2. You will be force fed vegetables.
And the # 1 reason Cody needs to get out of bed. YOUR CODY F...... MARSHALL.

Cody,
I am a masters racer from upstate NY who has been following your blog and amazing progress. Of course I know of you and your family's ccomplishments from ski racing, but what you have achieved here and the support from your family far surpasses anything any of us has done on the slopes. You are an inspiration! I just heard the US nat's will be at Whiteface in March and whether you are in the start order or on the sidelines cheering your team, I will be there cheering for you. Keep fighting! We are all pulling for you.

CODY You Rock.
Just finishing up here at ELITEAM and we had a talent show tonight. One of our campers portrayed WALL-E to perfection and we all thought of you. You would have been on your ass laughing as we all were.
We had our weekly jello drop contest where we drop cubes of jello off the GMVS van and the campers try to catch it in their mouths. i know jello is popular in hospitals, maybe the nurse will throw some to you to catch in your mouth. BRILLIANT!
Keep working hard Cody.
And to your family, give yourself some pats on the back. Great job.

Hey Cody! If I have to buy a plane ticket to fly to Utah, I will - start taking those meds!!! When Chelsea broke her arm right before States one year - I helped your mom crush up her pills into maple syrup, apple sauce, and ice cream. I will do it again if necessary!! We needed her to swim for the team, and she pulled through like a champion. Your team needs you to help with your recovery - do whatever it takes. Some of it will be really hard work, but keep pushing through the pain! Cody - you are one hell of a person and an athlete. You can do this - one step at a time!!! Love to you! - Melissa
p.s.- I am picking your mom up tomorrow morning at 6:30am at Bill's Country Store. We are heading to States...

Draven/ CodyMan,
Draven is BRILLIANT! I agree with Cody! Cody! you are amazing, I don't know you personally, but I can tell from all the love and the support that you have from your family and friends that you are going to make it happen! You get your Ass out of bed and walk as many times a day as you can; this road is your way back to your life. Your support from your sister, Draven, Jessie, your family & all your friends is absolutely incredible.
I am an OR nurse and have many stories that I could tell you about brain injury patients, but I will tell you just one! A surgeon that I have worked with for 26 years had a massive cerebral bleed last year and was in a coma for 3 months and wasn't expected to recover much alone walk or talk or ever practice medicine again. Well let me tell you that today he was back in the operating room and performed a great surgery. I told him about you and he said he is living proof of never say never! Your progress is amazing and is nothing short of a miracle. You keep going Cody listen to Draven, remember he is BRILLIANT.
Draven I read you blog everyday and am amazed at Cody's progress. I wish I could be there to give you a big hug and bring you, Jessie and Chelsea Cookies and Starbucks. I pray for Cody's full recovery every night. I know it is hard, keep doing what your doing. Love Lynda (Draven's Step-mom)

Hi Cody…Margaret Parker here, a good friend of Grandma Marshall’s, living in Florida in a beautiful retirement community (www.southportsquare.com). I am 87 years old, much younger than she is, but in her 90’s she can run circles around me. I know where you got some of your strong characteristics!! Did you know that she still drives her car safely and is surrounded here by good friends. She is an awesome Bridge player and we play often. I just wanted you to know that many of us here at South Port Square are following your progress daily. I am the computer addict who rolls out of bed each morning, reads your blog, prints it out and delivers it to Grandma Marshall’s usually by 8 a.m. . She reads and rereads every word and is preserving all the printouts in a 3 ring notebook.
Cody, I spent 7 summers at Brookhaven in Ludlow, VT. I bet you have skied Okemo Mt where we drove to the top and saw all the ski runs in the summer. There are a lot of prayers from Mary Jane and her friends all going your way and we truly believe that you will have a full recovery. Just know that everything that you do and say is reported to Grandma, so, Cody, watch your language!!!!! (Just kidding, folks! Sometimes those words are necessary!!). Keep up the good work, Cody.
