MEDICAL UPDATE SUNDAY 2:23 PM
So great to have all your comments to read to the Codeman! Keep them coming, Chelsea it is hard for him to hear you on the phone because of the delay. Yesterday the last call we couldn't hear you at all. lol so he hung up.
He is having as mellow of a day as you can in a hospital. He went for a walk today, did some PT work on balance and had a shower. He started to spike a fever for about 1 hour last night and then it went away and has continued to stay away.
He is having a good day with a few visitors. He is eating well and loving all his comments. He has surgery tomorrow morning to have the filter removed from his vein that was placed to prevent blood clots. That is scheduled for sometime between 9-10am
He receives his antibiotics like clockwork thank goodness, these help fight the infection and will continue to do so for 14 days.
Today is a good Sunday. I am going to read him more of your comments, He will watch some movies, have some popcorn, and nap.

Sounds like you are having a great Sunday. Mine has been pretty similar. A little brunch, a little nap, a little exercise....Enjoy the rest of your day and rest up for tomorrow. It has clouded over here on the east coast. Got to do some house chores and get ready for True Blood at 9. If you haven't seen it, get Draven to rent season 1 for you. Not exactly as tame as Wall-E, but good fun. Check out Dexter too.

what a relief to hear your big move was like cutting butter with a hot knife. the hospitality in those places isn't always top notch... ironic, isn't it? anyway, i love you from taos.
today i pulled about a million weeds in the garden a got a fabulous sunburn on my back. i probably should have been wearing Tanana, (the banana flavored tanning lotion anne-sophie and i liked to use at lunch. we would wear our goggles on the pico porch and slather our faces with tanana to cultivate our raccoon eyes. we tried so hard to be as cool as you. seriously dorky.)
it seems that lots of us are reading the updates from the fam and draven, (love the fam and draven) and everyone else's thoughts, too. we are all brought closer together in our prayers by sharing this blog.
so i read paris' comment about your marriage to miranda and was brought back to our "summer of love" at the sherburne rec. pretty sure i was always the priest and never the bride. what the hell? i laugh and cry and am often inspired just to sit and be thankful for you and all the delight you have brought to so many people's lives. you are amazing.

You are doing WONDERFULLY! I'm so glad that the transition went well! It sounds like the reading and writing and PT are doing well, too. I think the brain is amazing! Sounds like your's is DOUBLY amazing! Just don't forget to rest!
Like others on here, I watched WALL-E today and thought of you! WOW! It told me a lot about this "CODEMAN" that I don't know. Sounds like you are a go-getter, a fighter, strong yet sensitive! You are going to come out of this thing just beautifully! I believe it!
It's been a beautiful day here in Colorado! I can see snow on some of the higher peaks! Beautiful! I send good thoughts up and over those peaks to Utah, and you, every day!

CODYYY!!!! sounds like you had a pretty good weekend! my cousins wedding was this weekend and it was an absolute blast! i had to give a speech and i was so nervous i thought i was going to faint! but i survived. you helped me out and you dont even know it! i figured it you could do this then i could give a little speech, and you know what?! i totally killed it, im the worst at speaking in front groups and i didnt mess it up once! so thanks cody and keep up the good work! lots of love, kate

I heard that you like the PollyBars! That's awesome! Let me know if you want more and I'll see what I can do. I can also make them in other flavors (chocolate, white chocolate, white chocolate w/coconut and butterscotch). If they keep you going, they will be delivered! If word gets out you might just get more visitors as well!

Our kids are 12 and 7 years old (2nd-year J4 and J6 racers to you) and they look up to all you US Ski Team members the way other kids look up to pop music stars. Hey Cody! Now that swim team is over, we have been on a vacation in Gaspe, Quebec - and heading to Nova Scotia this morning. I have been following your progress via the blog and I am so impressed! You don't know me, but I am a friend and former Examiner colleague of your Mom. I remember you when you were a really little kid skiing all over the mountain at K with your Mom and siblings. I read about your accident in the NYTimes and I've been sending you strong, positive thoughts ever since. I know you'll have a great recovery.
