REHAB UPDATE MONDAY OOPS IT'S TUESDAY 6:27PM :)
Hello all from Codyland!!!
So Cody had a long day but a great day with his sister! The morning started out rough with a severe headache so he was unable to do his first PT class. After relaxing for a while his headache got a bit better and he started doing his PT rehab with Chelsea. He is in good spirits but the headaches become very frustrating as they prevent him form moving forward. His days are peaks and valleys as I remind everyone there will be great days and not so great days as he is still recovering. He is not through the woods yet.
He is still moving forward which is awesome.
He had some visitors today which he enjoyed and they always lift his spirits. His Bone flap surgery is potentially on this coming Monday if everything goes according to plan. I have another meeting with the Surgeons tomorrow to go over all our questions...
Chelsea will be giving an update shortly, sorry it has taken till the end of the day to give you all an update it was a hectic day for everyone.
For Now Until Then

Yo Hero,
My mustache is coming along nicely down in New Zealand. I cant wait to be back to show you how I can twirl it. The snow down here is finally hard enough to make some good turns. I have been making turns for you daily, most of them not up to either of our expectations. Keep barreling though the long hard days, and you will be stronger than ever in the end. Say hi to everyone for me and I will stop by on the 6th. I know its along time to wait for me, but my stashe will be that much more impressive. Hope you keep yours till then.
All Love

Hi Cody, Draven and co.
Sorry to hear about the headaches. I will "think" about them!! takes me back to when my Pituitary tumour was swelling eight years ago. I think you have to run with it and it will ease over time.
Really great that the Codeman got some fresh air recently. Looks like it's all progressing well.
Best wishes for an ongoing speedy recovery. Greetings from London.
Cheers,
SBB.

Cody,
Our paths have crossed a time or two through mutual friends but we don't know each other well if at all... nonetheless I have been following your blog and wishing nothing but the best for you. After being away for grad school for a few years I finally got back into the mountains this week and have been running my favorite trails... I've been thinking of you fighting every morning while I run and it's gotten me to the top everyday. I'm happy to send all the new strength I've found in myself this week straight back to you to help you continue to fight through PT. You're doing an amazing job. Keep it up!

Cody,
Don't believe I've met you, but I ski at Killington all the time and know people who know you/your family. Keep up the fight - your courage is inspiring. Pain and uncertainty are very difficult to deal with; good thing you're a lion-hearted athlete, a plus for you for sure! It appears you have many dear, loyal and supportive friends, and Draven has been the best advocate ever. Very best of luck with your rehab and recovery. I suspect I'll be hearing of your return to the slopes..... Sincerely, Tracy

Hey Cody! Hot hot hot in Vermont! AFRICA hot! ARMPIT hot (you know, hot, humid and stinky)! Hot enough that the dogs aren't sleeping in oour bed at night, which is AWESOME.
I found myself wondering how PT was today and if you are headache free.

Hi Cody - I feel for ya, and the awful headaches. I cannot even imagine how much it probably hurts when you think, let alone when you even blink. How is it possible for your head to NEVER hurt, as you are recovering ...
Perhaps some loud music or an I-Pod would work to cure you ... no, wait those would cure boredom ... scratch that idea ... maybe some chlling ice, and lots and lots of morphine ... seriously you are in a hospital, so use the drip when u can ...
Hope you are having a steady recovery and that you have a good looking physical therapist. If not, refuse to work until you have a 10 working with you. That helped my recovery. Although my PT was a beefcake, and distracted my attention, it helps to get through the rouogh spots. Although with me being female, I could work the tears to get out of stuff --- might not work for you, but give the crying thing a try ...
Get some sleep and I will write some more entertainment later -
