REHAB UPDATE FRIDAY 8:55PM

Cody had a great today and very busy. We were outside for awhile and were enjoying the beautiful summer weather. This morning he made his first outing out of the hospital. We visited Red Butte gardens. He enjoyed the vibe of the place and being able to walk around freely. For his first PT session we went for a little hike behind the hospital. After lunch and a quick nap he had another PT session were he worked on his balance, which has been improving everyday but still can't be quite frustrating for him.

He had a full afternoon with friends and was in good spirits when I came back with dinner. He was able to play a little foosball with Tj, Worm and Mikkel. We went outside to enjoy the evening and played a little frisbee. He is really tired now and ready to settle in for the night.

He has been enjoying reading all your comments from the blog and I think he is amazed to see all the support he has behind him. It defiantly keeps him going.

Much love,
Chelsea

    Hey Cody!
I'm back in the 'real world' in Norway - man, it's quite the transition!

Last time I checked your blog I wasn't able to post cause of maintenance, and I was so frustrated cause I have some pretty exciting news! Looks like I'll be in SLC in mid-October, which means, I'll get to visit you! Yey!
So, make a list if your craving any Norwegian chocolate, viking helmets, ham & cheese in a tube, you name it, and I'll bring it along!

Other than that, I'm stoked to read you're headed outside to visit the sun, that rehab's getting better and that you're pushing yourself every day! Keep it up!

    Talk soon

Cody, Your Florida support group is really pulling for you and I love delivering to Grandma Marshall such an upbeat report as Chelsea wrote on Friday. If you think she would also enjoy your Facebook site, please add me to your list of friends and I'll see that she reads it. Your progress may seem slow to you but in the big picture it is really amazing what you are doing so soon. I know you will keep it up! Margaret Parker

    Chelsea,

Way to go on helping out update the Cody man's blog.

It's good to see Cody getting outside in that nice Utah air. For sure any hospital hallways and rooms can be not quite as pleasant.

Cody, keep working it, stay focused and keep your goals in play. Your support team is just awesome. So, I wish you the best in your recovery. Rock on!
