REHAB UPDATE SATURDAY 3:45PM

Cody just finished his last PT session of the day. It was a really good session where he got to play some tennis on WI Nintendo system while balancing on stability disks. Afterwards he did some work on the dynamic balance board, which was both fun and challenging. He got his legs burning with some wall squats.

His fractured ribs have been very sensitive recently and very painful at times. Not much we can do for it, they will heal in time. He has stopped taking his antibiotics and so far everything has been looking great.

He's been in really good spirits. Tomorrow he has a day off. I think he needs it. He has been pretty busy and tired. He is just taking a little nap now and then I think we will head outside for a little bit to enjoy the end of summer.

Much love
Chelsea

    Hey Cody,

WI Tennis is the best. I love it. Sometimes I hurt my shoulder because I swing too hard, Forget it's just video. Stability disks, love those too. Today must have been kinda fun...I hope. Bob and I check your blog every day. It makes us very happy to see all the progress you've made. Go Cody Go!!!

Hope Dravens back is feeling better!!! Good thing Chelsea's there.

    Hi Chelsea,
I have followed Cody's progress and read all the love and support he is receiving.I'm in the midst of a program in acquired brain injury and have shared the blog with my classmates. Last semester we read, "Where is the Mango Princess?" and Cody followed a similar path in his stages of presentation of deficits and recovery. Although I've never met Cody, his fight and will to recover is remarkable and a testament to the support he is receiving. Draven has been nothing short of miraculous and I know all of you know that. I hope he's getting the help he deserves to recover from his back injury. I'd wager this blog may(should) become a model for medical schools in effective/potential communication between the medical community and families. Chelsea, you, Cody and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. debbie crow

Hey Cody, Drayden, Chelsea, Barb, Don, and all.

Just wanted to let you know I check the blog most days, eventho I have only commented once before.

Drayden and Chelsea - you are so very special to be there for Cody. Thank you, thank you and may God bless you for your faithfulness. You are amazing!

Cody - when I think of you I see two images. The first is your impish grin at 3 years old, the second your impish grin last year in Austria. Be strong, fight the good fight. Then come visit us when you are well and back in VT.

Hey cody, congrats on getting out of that place for awhile!!!!! gardens are such a great place to refresh and rejuvenate, an excellent choice you made.

i was psyched to see the progrss of the last few days. no wonder you are tired, it's been an exciting few days.

the daniels family is enjoying the first blues fesitval at mt snow this weekend. the weather didn't really cooeprate, but the music is outstanding and most folks are really having a great time (they are also, mostly, very drunk). the music is a little loud, so we enjoy it from afar and our 4 year old is loving all the guitars and stage gear.

keeping fighting the good fight and making great strides. i can't wait for my tshirt to arrive!

    Cody,

You don't know me and I don't know you. I enjoy watching Olympic and world class skiing, but can't say I have followed your career.

I read about your accident in a news item and have been following this blog since the beginning.

Just putting in my two cents to say that total strangers like me follow your recovery. Wishing you the best.
