REHAB UPDATE MONDAY 12:45PM
Cody had his PT this morning with Jesse. His headache came on strong so he had to head up stairs for a nap. He is having Lunch with jesse and has a 1:45 occupational therapy class that he hates not because he can't do it but because the exercises they do don't really apply to his life or what he does. They haven't really tailored it to apply to him so it is rather frustrating all around but amusing to watch because Cody gives them a hard time which makes me happy because they are so unimaginative with his therapy.
I will be taking Jesse to the airport at 3 we are sad to see him go.

Wow! You are making leaps and bounds every day. It is so amazing to continue to hear the updates. I am totally impressed. Keep challenging all of your therapists around you as well. I am glad you've had the chance to get outside lately as well. That must really help your spirits!

Keep up the amazing dedication! Cody is luck to have you and the rest of your family by his side. Make sure to take care of yourself as well. Get your back feeling better!

I would be laughing my butt off at OT...especially watching Cody do it cuz he has to and all the crap he is giving the therapists!
Just keep it up, Cody. Its boring and you might find it ridiculous but its a move forward on getting you out of there! Its like skiing stubbies over and over and over...Boring!
Just keep on going..I am sure there is a protocol with your therapy and the sooner you meet the goals, the sooner you are on your way out of the hospital.
You have to do this!
If you feel like its not the right therapy, just get Draven on them, he will make it happen!

Cody, it was great to see you, Jesse, and Chelsea yesterday. You looked great ....ok, you may want to stick with the left profile photos until Thursday. =-) Seriously though, you looked fantastic. You give off an aura and energy of a man who knows where he's going and has no doubt that he will get there. You've got me convinced. I can't wait to see you back on snow.
If you're attacking your PT half as hard as you did that pizza, you must be killing it. Keep up the great work and continue your amazing recovery.

Sorry to hear about your headache today. My head has been REALLY aching today, too. I checked and the barometer is up. I wonder if that could be it.
If your therapists are wasting your time (and $$$$), then you should tell them how you feel. I think you should be assertive, not aggressive, so that they know that you are on to them. If you just keep doing what you are doing, you will keep getting what you are getting....nothing helpful!
Draven....I hope your back is better. Take it easy!
Chelsea...I'm glad you and Jesse got to spend some nice time together with Cody! It's so important!
Keep up the great work, Cody! You're doing great! I know it get's hard sometimes, so rest when you can...that's the BEST thing for your brain! Listen to your body. It knows when you need your rest (like I have to tell you that!)

Cody, I'm so glad you got to spend time with Jesse ... he must be so proud of the progress you've made since his last visit!!! You're doing awesome ... I hope you can conquer those headaches ... that's not fun ... keep up the good work!!! We're all in your corner!!!

Glad to hear you've been kicking ass and pushing through your rehab despite the difficulties! It's so amazing to see all the progress you've made in such a short amount of time. How are things going today?
I hear it's pissing in New Zealand; melting all the snow away and making everyone miserable so just enjoy the end of your sunny Utah summer!

Cody! Remember what I told you about my PT work on that stupid stationary bike...all they wanted me to do was to make the left pedal go around without lifting my hip! Ug, it was so frustrating! For weeks on end I couldn't do it!...It brought me to tears...and twenty some odd years later, that is what I remember most! But, if they hadn't made me do it, I might have had a locked knee and I would not have been able to ski or even walk...They are trained in the mundane and repetition...over and over again...Like being in school listening to Mrs Dorian teaching about history and wondering how is this going to affect the rest of my life??? Well, there is no certain answer, but it does...and it will. You suffered a very serious injury and you've come a long way in recovery in a relatively short period of time...We all might be trying to rush you?!...You're PT's are looking for the fight and the drive that makes Cody Marshall who he is!!! They too want to see Cody Marshall...Kid from Vermont!...The Champion Swimmer/USA Ski Team member...The Olympian...back in the swing of life as he knew it!!! Someday when you're all better the Utah hospital and it's staff of faces with no names will be a distant memory... You will be grateful for the mundane and the repetition and to have had Draven and your family by your side...
