THE PIE, MRS. B COOKIES BABY, THE McDONALD FAMILY, JOSH RITTER AND BLOGGERS!

Today was Sir Cody's field trip to The Pie Pizzeria! I have to say from CODY AND THE GANG THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!! TO THE OWNERS MATTHEW AND MONET PALMER AND FAMILY. Cody had a great time and the Pizza was DELICIOUS! It was my first time there and I really enjoyed it. Cody sat down at the table and randomly enough above him was the 2002 Winter Olympics sign so it seemed rather fitting to have our Olympic star under the lights of the Olympic Rings. The Pie owners were kind and generous taking care of our entire lunch and making sure the music was low so Cody would be able to enjoy his time there with no problems.

I have to say it was very special and The Pie Pizzeria really delivered!!

The staff at The Pie Pizzeria was incredible to us. We ordered 3 medium pizza's...The Hawaii-O A Cheese for the Codeman and a Mixed Ingrediant his PT therapist and I came up with. Each Pie was Delicious. Cody commented that he really liked the sauce they use and enjoyed each slice. It was as if we were ravenous because we polished off each pizza with only 3 slices left over at the end. Cody's math problem was to figure out how many people were at our table divided by the number of slices which would mean how many slices each person could eat. The answer...3.6 and we did in deed.

This was his first real social integration therapy. To be out rockin' his helmet with a restaurant full of people, and activity all around him I have to say he Kicked butt. Of course after getting back from all the stimulation he got a terrible headache which is common when introduced to so much activity but his spirit definitely needed it! Thank you to everyone at The Pie Pizzeria you really made our day.

Then to top it off I went to the mailbox to pick up mail for the Codeman and received so many great Cards for Cody! It was so AWESOME YOU GUYS ROCK!!! The support is much needed for the family and hugely appreciated. THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!  THANK YOU!!
I was then handed a package which was from MRS.B......HELLO, My goodness Mrs. B you out did yourself, what a treat and so delicious, I was getting personal PT work done on my back at the house today from Christa who essentially ran over yelling are those Mrs. B's cookies and off to the races she went yum yum so many cookies unbelievably delicious cookies that are infamous amoung the ski teamers so needles to say everyone staked their claim. I can't wait to meet you Mrs. B thank you! Cody's Cookie smile is one of his best smiles!

I need to mention another great guy Musician JOSH RITTER I would suggest buying his album by the by it is great.  Kate McDonald and Family sent to Cody a Letter from Josh, his set list and his guitar pick he attached to his letter for Cody from his concert. How awesome is that for the Codeman. Talk about yet another smile on his face THANK YOU Josh and the McDonald Family for thinking of Cody and your continued support and love.

I have to say I cannot express how much energy all of this love gave me today that was much needed because It gives Cody energy and puts Cody over the rainbow which is so important right now!  This is why Cody is going to walk out of the Hospital, This is why he will ski again, This is why Cody Marshall will rise to be bigger and better than ever. THANK YOU FOR THE CONTINUED FIGHT, THE LOVE, THE SUPPORT, THE GO CODY GO'S, THE PEOPLE BUYING T-SHIRTS AND GIVING DONATIONS, ALL THE BLOGGERS, HUGE HUGS TO EVERYONE

KEEP THINKING CODY IT WORKS!!!

For Now Until Then
Draven

Cody... what an incredibly AWESOME DAY you had!!! Who would have thought 4 weeks ago when you were still in Intensive Care and basically in a world of "unknowns" ... that before the end of August you would be on an outing at the Pie Pizzeria!!! Nothing short of Miraculous ... and the POWER of prayer, positive thoughts, TONS of love and support ... and of course some great doctors... all together brought you to today ... GO CODY GO!!!! You are AWESOME!!!

Draven, please give the Physical Therapist who worked on your back, a HUGE HUG and THANK YOU from ME as well... as I have been worried about you ... what you are doing is obviously very stressful and you need to be taken care of once in awhile so you can keep taking care of Cody ... Your dedication, compassion and generosity are beyond amazing ... Just remember to take a little break every once in awhile to refresh and refuel ...

    Love,
    Carol/Mama

Hey Cody!! Back online after a brief move to Boston. Holy crap, let me tell you, these cities are not all they are cracked up to be. I got off the wrong stop on the T last night after dinner out with a friend and ended up 2 miles away from my house with very few options home. So I walked around a reservoir in the dark, thanking god the whole time that I haven't been here long enough to forget how to walk. I said a little prayer for you out there with the lights twinkling in the horizon, and I am currently sending good vibes to you and your family! You all are like an army! Battle ready! Brave and full of heart! GO CODY GO!

    Hey Cody,

I am so thrilled to to read that you are making leaps and bounds in your recovery, and are able to get out of the hospital and get some fresh air. I have been following up on your blogs everyday and I am just amazed on how far you have come. I stopped in a few weeks ago and talked with your mom and Chelsea, but at the time you were a little busy. I am planning on stopping back in one of these days coming up. So keep on keeping on Cody and push it to the limits.

    Draven,
Thanks for all the upbeat posts to the blog. It's so great to hear how well Cody is doing and progress he's making. He is so fortunate to have you there, overseeing his care each and every day....you are amazing! So glad the trip to Pie Pizzaria went so well and that Cody enjoyed the pie so much. I can't believe the great strides he's making. As you may know, my sister (Lindsey Vonn's mom) had a stroke when Lindsey was born, so I have some personal experience with the recovery of brain injuries. Linda is a walking testament of how well a person can do after a brain trauma, and I know that with the support he's getting, and the strength and determination he has, he'll also be back on the hill soon. My continued good wishes (and wearing my Think Cody shirt with pride),
