MEDICAL UPDATE 1:00PM
Cody is out of surgery and in the NCCU. He is in an enormous amount of pain which I is common after this type of surgery. They are monitoring and controlling his pain as best as possible. He has a drain in his skull which drains fluids, blood etc..it is annoying him but it needs to be there typically for 24 hours.
He is extremely irratable as expected. I wanted you to know he made it through the surgery and is in the NCCU will update you as soon as I know more and have more information on his condition. This will take as the Dr's have to monitor him for a while and see where he is at.
Thank you all.
For Now Until Then

Hey Cody,
Welcome back! You are whole again. Remember that Ice packs get rid of lots of the pain and swelling. See if the doctors will allow you to remove some of the thick bandages, and overlay some ice,. i have even used one of the iceman knee pads to cover my families' many post op sites just to help with the pain. Much better than drugs. Hang in there, the worst is now behind you.
GO CODY GO!!!

Awesome for having done the surgery, Cody. Well before it you were doing way better than I expected so I'm sure there will be no stopping you now. Just in case... if you don't behave, I'll bring Lindsey back to see you and you'll have to do rehab with her!! You for sure don't want to be run into the ground by a 3 year old do you? Great seeing you and get outta there soon. Love, Betsey

Hi Cody,
It's a "flip-flop and fleece" day here in Warren, Vermont. 42 degrees this morning. Crispy, clear blue skies. You would love it!
Hang tough through this process! We are all sending positive thoughts to pull you through this stage of your recovery. This step will allow you to do so much more and get you out and about quicker. Yay! Be patient.
My "think cody" thoughts must have been in overdrive night before last, because you were in my dream. We had a nice conversation and you looked great! You were surrounded by a group of girls; fairly common I hear.
Hugs to you, Draven, Mikkel and your family.

Hey Cody,
I hope your head is feeling a little better today. You've just cleared a major hurdle, and the path down the straightaway will be much easier. Healing takes time, persistence and courage, all of which you have. So just remember to take things one day at a time... I know you'll be back on your skis in full force in no time!
Take care, we're all rooting for you!

CODY!
This surgery is a turning point!
Just tough it out, you have made so much progress!
Now is the time to focus on the end result. Take as much time as you need to regroup and recover. Then give it hell and get the hell out of there.
You are the man!
Be well Draven, and all the MArshalls!
Cody's day is coming, and soon!
Sending positive wishes to all of you..

Cody: We are thinking of you and happy to hear that surgery went well.
We are praying for the pain to decrease and recovery to go smoothly.
Family and friends- Vince had a similar drain in his head last July after surgery. It is a pain- annoying but very necessary. Once it is out he will be more comfortable. We also have a good friend who had several brain surgeries- the pain is tough now, but will get better daily. Hang in there- we are praying for all of you.
Much Love, Annemarie Todd
