HOME UPDATE FRIDAY 7:00PM
Cody is doing really well working on his balance which is proving to be frustrating and difficult. I am amazed at his determination and he is working through it day by day. He has a full 5 day week rehab schedule next week with both PT and evaluations so we will really get a good Idea of what lies ahead. It will be a busy week that is for sure.
I am still waiting to hear back on the imaging results to see what that says and I am hoping for good news. He has a long road ahead but is keeping his head up and plugging away what will prove to be the biggest challenge of his life. He is determined to get on snow, I think he is the type of skier that lives and breathes it, it is in his blood. It is a part of him in ways few people can understand. It is my greatest wish for him and his greatest aspiration. The day he hears the click of his boot and the crunch of the snow beneath him will be one of great joy and I think it will bring him back to himself in so many ways. He continues to push through the fight and the frustration of not being where he was physically, He remains for the most part positive and hopeful for this day.
I can only imagine the emotion for all us in witness when this day comes.
There is a great article in Ski Racing magazine this issue on Cody and the family I am not sure if it is online. I have not been able to email those of you who have responded to my TBI question previous I apologize but I have read your comments and will do so shortly. The days are long and filled with so many things.
Cody & The Marshall family as well as myself would like to thank all of you for your continued support, cards, donations, prayers, and supporting the think Cody movement. Thank you can not say how much it is appreciated and needed during these trying times for the family. They continue to press forward and continue to need the support so again Thank you. Cody is on the blog reading daily I am hoping he will be able to post something soon it is rather overwhelming for him and I wish I could express how much it moves him forward daily. So please keep up the amazing work of touching base and posting comments to him thank you for taking the time to show you are all there each and every time. It is amazing how far it goes. You guys are awesome!!
Barb will be leaving tomorrow so It will be he and I for a bit until Tucker fly's in and then Chelsea is home. I may be reaching out this week for help as I have come to realize I am not super-human lol..... Well that is the update for now, I will post his results as soon as I get them and next week will be challenging with the evaluations we should know a lot more then....

skiing is an addiction and is in our blood from birth. cody you are on the path to returning to the slopes. it is the feeling of total control,of the speed , of floating in the white room. i was accused of being a 50year old ski bum last week and i only have my father to blame for that as i would call him a 75 year old ski bum . you will be back on skis this winter an i am looking forward to spending some time in the white room with you.
draven, you are a rock for all of us and thank you for being there not only for cody but for us. take care of your self as you look after cody, we all need you

Yup, this time of year we get the feeling... you can't describe it in mere words but we all know what it is. I remember the first day the Kip-ster skied after his accident. It was tenative and careful but beautiful. Auspiscious although again, words can't describe. Good things take time. I have no doubt that Cody will rip again.

Cody Man,
Coach Woody here from Michigan, yes, we do have snow in Michigan.
Sounds like you are progressing from where you were before. So keep at it dude. Keep packing on those muscles, and eating all those awesome meals Draven is preparing for ya.
Stay focused and that sound of you clicking into the bindings will be heard around the world, that is going to be sweet!!!!
Skiing for sure can be very rewarding and a little bit of fun as well. There is no other sport like it on the planet, (oops, can't forget the snowboarders). And those gates are just waiting for you to pound on them, so hang in there Cody, and remember, 1 turn to the right, 1 turn to the left, hey---hey.
Draven, for sure, get your rest and stay healthy. Thank you for all of reports on the Cody Man.

Hi Cody and Draven!
Just wanted to say hi and I'm so happy for you, Cody, that you've done so well, so quickly, in your recovery. And you are lucky to have such support from Draven! He is truly an amazing friend. Know that we're all out here, reading your blog and sending good wishes for progress every day. Just like my sister (Linda Krohn, mom of Lindsey Vonn), you are an inspiration for all TBI patients, with your amazing determination to get back to 100% of where you were. I know you can and will do it with all the support from family and friends. Keep fighting, Cody, and we're behind you all the way!!
Love, Lisa and Cody (10 year old son)

Cody,
Your courage and determination amazes all of us everyday. Keep on doing what you're doing and you'll be back on the mountain before you know it. I was so happy to see the photos of you in the paper - you look so strong, and I couldn't help but think what a difference it must make and how good it must feel for you to be back doing your rehab (the PT at least) with your regular trainers and therapists - who I'm guessing will do just about anything to make sure you make it all the way back - rather than some anonymous hospital. Good luck with your hard week ahead - I know everything will go well and you'll continue to make great progress!
