HOME UPDATE MONDAY 11:00PM
Hello from Codyland!!
Hope everyone is doing well. We are training, training and training here. Cody does his PT and then we do flash cards and memory games trying to get his brain back in shape. He is doing well with it. It definitely get frustrating but he is doing so well I am going to start pushing harder as he has his impact test Oct 15th.
We had a good weekend and are supposed to be expecting snow on Wed. I am not looking forward to it and neither is he. I have been away from the snow for over 2 years I am definitely looking forward to our California trip in OCT. and I am hoping the snow will come and go quickly until November.
We got a couple things in the mail today for the Codeman and Cody wanted to say Thank you to Coach Woody!!! Thank you! and Congratulations to his Grandma Marshall. Congratulations Grandma Marshall!!! an inspiration at 92! My mother sent us each a book called Finish Strong.. Cody said to say Thank you to Carol!! This is a great book comprised of short amazing stories of courage and inspiration. I recommend it.
It is tough to get to everything each day so I apologize for having to go a few days before getting to the blog. We have a big day tomorrow and we are all exhausted. Chelsea leaves Wed. so Cody and I will be here until we leave for California for a week or so.
We have an early morning of 7:00 am tomorrow but wanted to make sure I got to the blog I usually get about 2-3 hours of sleep a night I am shooting for more tonight.
I continue to work on the fundraiser which is challenging on top of everything else and that is not a complaint, just fact so I leave you with this.... "The difference between involvement and commitment is like ham and eggs. The chicken is involved; the pig is committed."

All: Keep up the good fight! Draven, get some rest and relaxation in California. You owe it to yourself. Cody, an amazing story in itself, those little steps are getting bigger and bigger.

Thank you for letting me know that you received the package. I was for sure hoping you would get it before heading out to California. It was nice of you to put it on the blog.
Cody, Please don't get too frustrated with your therapy, you know the old saying, "One step at a time." We know that you will reach your goals what ever they may be in life, so keep on working hard. Enjoy California Cody.
Draven, Please, get your sleep dude. There are only so many times you can go to the well and re-charge the batteries. Unless of course you are related to the energizer bunny. Hey---Hey. Enjoy California!

Sounds like Cody is recovering steadily, which of course, is the smartest way to heal successfully, for the long ters!
I hope the snow that is set to arrive isn't a depressant ... I know how it feels to not be able to ski, when the white fluffy stuff falls from the sky ... just think ... you get to stay warm indoors, where it is nice and toasty ... you do not need to deal with schleping/carrying gates ... your feet will be pain free ... and, you can still pick up women at the bar ... use the injuries as the perfect pick up line :-]
Keep smiling --- and keep posting these updates!!
Love hearing the news ---

Hey Codeman,
Great to hear your doing well. California will be a nice change for the both of you. Especially for some well deserved rest. I want to wish you luck with your impact test on October 15th. I know you will do well cause it is my birthday. Did you know that the astrological sign for that date is the scale. Meaning balance... Hmmm pretty ironic huh! Keep kickin butt Codeman.
