CALIFORNIA UPDATE 9:00PM - CODY
Here I am trying to play tetris online and Draven and Six (Jesse's cute
cat) have other ideas... Six Would rather sit on my lap cuddle and tell
me about her day, while Draven thinks its time for me to stop trying to
set a new high score in tetris, instead I could better spend my time
writing for the blog. I wasn't doing very well in tetris anyway....
We had a great weekend! Jesse and I went down to Hunington beach on Sunday. Its hard to believe its the end of October out here. It has been in the 80s and sunny everyday. I am usually in Europe this time of year in a much different climate.
My friends from Killington VT. put together a fundraiser for me tonight at my elementary school. I checked in via video skype for a few minutes to say hello and thank everyone that was able to make it out. I saw some familiar people, old friends I haven't seen in years, my coach from last season Tom Sell, and some teachers that I haven't seen since I left the school! Thank you so much to Kelly Ziegler and everyone at SES and the supporters who attended my fundraiser there in Vermont! The support goes a long way and really means a lot to me.
Nice Job to Ted and Lindsey last weekend in Soleden! Tommy Ford also did really impressive at his first world cup race. He finished 32 first fun, just missing qualifying for a second run.
Thats all for now.

Cody-my family and I were able to attend part of the event at Sherburne Elementary School last night. Kelly Ziegler (with lots of help) pulled together a great event. Kids, teachers and parents scooped ice cream for two hours in honor of YOU! The cafeteria looked like an old fashioned scoop shop!
Your parents, Chelsie and Tucker were surrounded by lots of love and support. Loren Pepe told us of the earlier webcast and how excited everyone was to see you. Your old school was very proud last night.
Your story has gripped your home towns of Pittsfield and Killington. Even the young kids (whom all ski!) know who you are.
Every step of your recovery is an inspiration. Keep up the great work and GO CODY GO!

Hey Cody, glad you having such a great time in California. Get ready for some cold and snow when you get back to Park City. It is snowing here in the SLC valley so it must be a blizzard in Park City. Take care and my best to Draven and Jesse!! Go Cody Go!! Your Friend Dave

Cody,
For sure it sounds like you made the right call to get to California. It will be a few months till we se that temp. in Michigan. And probably Park City as well, aye. Hey, make sure you and Draven are getting that sunscreen on. Nothing like a big cup of coffe and some Coppertone.
Cody Man, I ran across this in one of my coaching aticles.

My dog does that. She always wants to be in my lap whenever I'm playing a video game or using the computer. It makes me smile every time. I hope you're feeling better, Cody. Medical Insurance
