UPDATE FRIDAY 1:30AM - CODY
Packing, packing, packing. Well, that's what I am supposed to be doing
anyway. I have successfully procrastinated for the last three days so
now I have one day to pack everything. That is typically how I operate
when I need to pack for a couple month trip for skiing so I am
confident I will get everything done at the last minute as always. Or I
will make Chelsea do it for me. Sisters are good for stuff like that.
Chelsea will be coming back from Colorado tomorrow night and making the trip home to Vermont with me on Sunday. I haven't been home to Vermont since April and I am excited to see the family and spend the holidays with everyone. I will be In Vermont for ten days before heading out to Colorado to cheer on my team mates at the world cup at Beaver Creek in early December.
We received some exciting news from the doctor on Tuesday...
Everything looks good. She says I can drive. That's cool.... Oh, yea, and I can Ski!!
I'm thinking since I learned to ski at Killington and I will be with my family it seams like a fitting place to get back on snow. Maybe while I'm home for Thanksgiving.
I will keep you guys posted.

Cody, you can drive, you can ski, and you can eat turkey with family and friends this Thanksgiving. You and they have a lot to be thankful for this year. Have a wonderful time.

Wondering if you are on twitter --- could be a much easier way to keep up for many folks that would love to follow your recovery. Let me know!

Be aware, Ski with care and wear a bucket!! I'm sure you will do great and have fun with the family. I know its hard to go slow downhill- I usually cant unless I ride a snowboard. Well... try anyway to just take in the scenery at first; lunch on the mountain and that sort of thing. Best wishes and good luck in your travels!!

Cody,
Thats awesome news. You are going home, and get a chance to hang out with friends and family. That is so cool.
And just think you don't have to go thru drivers training again. Just remember which one is the brake and which one is the gas pedal. (Hey----Hey). Please let all of us know the day you step into those bindings and go Ski. That my friend is really going to be a special day. And the fact you will be able to see your World Cup Buddies in person, that is just plain "Cool".
Stay strong Cody Man, and turn right and turn left on your skis.

Great news, almost shed a tear. Keep it safe at Killington, with so many Joey's it might be best to go early on a day not so traveled. This is a huge milestone and a hats off to you, Draven, Chelsea, Family, and friends.
take care and enjoy turkey day.

Wow that is great news Cody. I hope to see you on the slopes at Killington soon, not really into hiking for patches right now. Most likely Mon after the weekend. The offer to come to yoga is always open, my treat. Today my brother is coming home to Vermont too after being in the hospital since Sept 20! A very happy holiday to you and your herby family. -Herb

I am really happy to note that the author is having a really good time. He points out that he successfully procrastinated his packing for three days. I am delighted to note that there are other people also who take great pleasure in procrastination. I am a procrastinator and I admit that it is a bad habit. But the joy you get from procrastination is immense. Anyway I would like to wish the author a happy holiday. A little piece of advice from me – please be careful while doing skiing.
